Alcohol Use on Property
By law we cannot serve or sell alcohol of any type on our grounds. You are allowed to provide your own or have it catered. You are required to hire a professional bar tender to serve alcohol. You cannot have a cash bar without a permit from the state.

Minors
We take underage drinking very seriously. Bartenders will be asked to check ID to verify age. Minors attempting to drink alcohol will not be tolerated.

Caterers/vendors
We recommend that any vendors such as caterers, photographers, DJs, musicians or florists to be hired by you, come to the barn and inspect our facilities to eliminate any potential problems ahead of time.

Liability
Building and property damage caused by your guests is your responsibility. We request that you take out temporary event coverage on your home owners insurance for yourself and your guests and provide us with a copy.

Parking
Parking must be off the street. We provide parking on mowed grass. Handicap parking provided. Barn can be driven up to if needed but cars must be removed and parked in designated areas before the event is to start.

Pottery, antiques and taxidermy displays
Our displays are permanent. They are well displayed and located reasonably safe against damages. The floor space is kept open for events.
If you insist on any removals we need to know well in advance and there will be an additional removal fee.

Time of Event
Marion Township rules require that all activities must cease by 12 a.m. - no exceptions.

Topography of Land
The barn is located next to farm fields, gardens and lawn. Parking is in a mowed section of hayfield with a walking path thru the garden to the barn.

Children
Children are always welcome as long as they have adult supervision at all times.

Weather
The barn has been newly wrapped with a house wrap material and covered with rough sawed barn siding. It protects well against rain or wind. If part of your wedding is to take place outside it is your responsibility to rent any necessary tents to shelter against rain or sun. Be aware that the barn is not heated. Portable patio heaters or tent heaters may be rented.

Clean up after your event
We will provide the necessary garbage bags,trash cans and the disposal of trash.
We do not handle food in any way, before, during or after your event.
It is your cleanup crew's responsibility to have the barn put back in its original clean condition.

Deposits
We require a non-refundable deposit of $300 to hold the date of your event, as well as an additional $300 fully refundable security deposit against damages. The deposit should be sent along with your contract agreement, initialed, signed and dated at the bottom.

Final Payment
Final Payment is due 2 weeks prior to your event. An invoice will be prepared reflecting any charges for extra assistance.

Other Charges
As stated on your signed contract, additional charges will be applied when necessary.
