Our first house concert with Breathe Owl Breathe was a great success thanks to Micah & Andrea for their fun performance and the good friends who attended. Looking forward to the next show with Jen Sygit February 8th.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED THE 2007 CONCERTS!
The 2007 concert series has come to an end and we are already making plans for next summer.

Businesses would be included in our advertising via posters, radio, newspapers, programs and announcements.

If you like high energy music Millish is a cross of Jazz and traditional Irish tunes. This band is made up of state champion bluegrass fiddler Brad Phillips, national award winning jazz percussionist Mike Shimmins, world champion uilleann piper Tyler Duncan and guitarist Jesse Lee Mason.

Speaking of high energy Irish, Switchback has it covered. "One of the Midwest's most exciting roots duos".....quote by Dirty Linen Magazine.

Neptune Quartet you have to hear these guys..... More credentials than I can type, click on the website.

If your more of a country music fan we have Bob Hausler, who is the founder and current president of the Mid-Michigan Songwriters Guild. He will be sharing the stage with Whit Hill.
"Whit was a member of the renowned folk band Dick Siegel and the Na-Nas, with whom she toured the country – from New York’s Bottom Line to the Vancouver Music Festival. A prolific songwriter, Whit formed the Postcards in 2001. The band's two albums, "We Are Here" (2003) and "Farsighted" (2006) have received wide critical acclaim. Whit plays a Martin guitar and loves it very much." quoted from her website.

Annie & Rod Capps,
"Watch out for Annie Capps. Her latest recording and recent live shows are proof that yet another major talent is developing here in Michigan." Matt Watroba, WDET "Folks Like Us", will be followed by THE MILLROYS with country-americana original songs.

Several members of the Earthwork record label will be performing this summer, including Seth Bernard & Daisy May, Jen Sygit, Rachael Davis, and Breathe Owl Breathe. All have released new CDs that will be available at the shows.

THE BLUE WATER RAMBLERS will be performing the first day of Charlevoix's Venetian Festival Week. These guys tour the great state of Michigan performing songs celebrating Michigan and its heritage, the great lakes, and songs of tribute to the farmers. A good way to start your venetian festivities.

RUSTY BLAIDES will perform our last show of the series. A show not to be missed! I don't know a lot yet about the band but I heard them perform live on WMNC 107.9 out of Traverse City and I had to book them! I will get you more info on the group as soon as I have it.

Looking forward to seeing you all this summer..........C & C

WINTER PLANNING
GREAT NEWS! A special use permit has been granted to us by the Township Planning Commission.
We are now able to operate as a venue!
Special thanks to the board members, neighbors and friends who supported our plans.

We are now working on the barn to meet the barrier free requirements of the County Building Department.
Thanks to the help of Ranger Engineering we are working on this goal.

New concerts are being posted during the next month, look under Black Cat Concert Information.
I added a printable concert list to the website under Ticket Information. Print these out and hand them to everyone you meet!

Season tickets will be made available soon. Purchasing a season ticket in advance helps us a great deal.
Money needs to be raised for the construction and music equipment.

Woolly Bugger Coffee Shop, in downtown Charlevoix, will be selling advance tickets and season tickets. Stop in for a great cup of coffee and chat with Cornelia.

More to come..........
