HISTORY

The
Dhaseleer family farm began in 1925, it has been
operating for three generations; first as a dairy farm
and then as a produce farm and has now been remodeled
into a pottery and taxidermy shop by Carl and Cornelia
Dhaseleer and three daughters Alina, Alaska and Irah.
The farm is now called Dhaseleer Taxidermy & Gallery LLC and is located near Charlevoix, Michigan. It features a unique gallery inside a beautifully restored barn.
The pottery at this time produces both electric and wood fired functional stoneware pottery as well as tiles.
The taxidermy shop is well known in the area for all types of wildlife work including fish, birds, African, European and Exotic species. Emphasis is placed on quality craftsmanship and unique compositions for display in both private and public settings.
The century old barn built in the 1870's has been converted to work shop space below with gallery and event space above. Concerts are held May thru September with a wide range of performances to come. A large hardwood dance floor and band stage make this a great venue. Barn is also available to rent for weddings and parties.
