How to download price history from the Yahoo!® Finance site: Note: Registered users can skip the following instructions, and use their free bonus program, Horizon Price Watch, instead, to download and manipulate data prior to importing it. Check the website for details. 1) Go to http://finance.yahoo.com 2) Type in the security's symbol. If you don't know it, click 'Symbol lookup' first. 3) Select 'Chart' in the pull-down menu to the right, and click 'Get'. 4) When the page redisplays, you should see a chart of the security. 5) Below the chart, click 'Historical quotes:' 'Daily', 'Weekly', or 'Monthly'. 6) When the next screen comes up, input the date range you want. 7) Click 'Download Spreadsheet Format' on the bottom of the page. 8) When the data is displayed, copy it to a text file (source file) for importing. 9) You might have to edit the text file some before importing. 10) Read the 'Importing' section in the Horizon Investment Analyst user manual before proceeding. 11) Make a copy of the file on your hard drive that you want to import the data into (target file). 12) Run Horizon Investment Analyst. 13) Open the security into which you want to import the data.
