V-CAP CHECKOFF
We just received the 2005 UAW V-CAP Checkoff Authorization cards! UAW V-CAP is our way of supporting Labor endorsed candidates. UAW CAP endorses candidates that support Labor, whether Democrat or Republican. By signing every year we ensure that our money will stay in Michigan.
A $1 per month contribution amounts to less than a nickel a day, a $3 per month donation is only a dime a day. A $10 per month contribution will also get you a special President’s pin at the end of the year. It doesn’t sound like much, but added together we can make a difference.
Why do we need to be involved in Politics? It’s important for all working people to know whom they are voting for. We need to vote for the candidates that support us, the working people. How we vote directly affects our lives. Not only does it affect our work, it affects our social programs, our schools, our worker’s compensation benefits, our unemployment benefits, highways, property taxes, etc. We need to have candidates that are looking out for our well being. The problems we face at work are a direct result of our elected State and Federal representatives. We as working people, need to elect the candidates that support Labor.
