 Welcome to our recording studio, 33 1/3 STREET SOUND in St. Johns, Michigan... less than 15 minutes north of Lansing. Our name is a tribute to the long-play phonograph record (remember those?) which were played at 33 1/3 RPM.

Despite the nostalgic name, we have a very well-equipped high-tech small studio where we produce full length albums, radio ads, band demos, etc. on our state-of-the-art multitrack computer digital recording system.

 Soloists and bands - music hobbyists as well as established performing musicians - have used our studio since we recorded our first client's CD album project in 1997. We are proud of our studio's comfortable, inviting atmosphere and welcome musicians of all music styles and levels of expertise. Check our "clients" page, and you will see that most genres of music have been recorded here. We very carefully control our overhead costs so that bands on even a very strict budget can afford to record here. Our flat rate is a very affordable $30 per hour.

Our primary objective is to work for you and with you, giving you the benefit of our technical expertise so you can concentrate all of your energies on the creative aspects of your performance material. We are known for being not only knowledgeable about "nuts and bolts" of sound recording, but we are proud of our reputation for courtesy toward our valued customers.

 We also offer advertising businesses the use of our one-stop music and advertisement production service. We can compose a unique company jingle - putting it to music, complete with full orchestestral accompaniment - and produce an effective radio ad to go with it.  Several aspiring vocalists have used our studio to produce professional-sounding low cost recordings of themselves by providing accompaniment music on CD or cassette (many good quality karaoke recordings are available at music stores) which we then professionally blend with the singer's own voice, including any desired reverb or other sound processing. This recording can be for an audition demo, a holiday, birthday, or anniversary gift for friends and relatives, or even a special pre-recorded song to use at a wedding or reception.
