StoreDraw.jpg (23012 bytes) A short distance down County J, in an area known as North Star, there is an authentic turn-of-the century building with tin ceilings called North Star Antiques & Country Store. Open in the late 1800’s, North Star was a neighbor-hood grocery store, tavern and dance hall owned by three generations of The Bembenek family until 1978. The Bembenek family was also active in the lumbering and threshing business.
"In an effort to preserve not only the building, but the family tradition, we have restored the building into an Antiques & Country Store," said co-owners Pat Cychosz and daughter Leslie Buza (fourth and fifth generation proprietors).
