The league has instituted tough new penalties for flagrantly colliding with a fielder on a play. Read this rule in the By-Laws:
Article V, Section 26

At the meeting today, very few changes were made. No new teams will be added, and no teams dropped out. The season will mirror the last one in it's implementation. The divisional makeup was altered to better equalize the competition. Prize money will be awarded to the winning All-Star squad to be used by each team for their own purposes. A wild card team cannot get home field advantage vs a non-wild card team. We discussed a penalty (suspension) for intentially colliding with a fielder and will at a later date determine what this will be.

As per our league rules, all players who wish to play for a new or different CMBA team for 2006 need to inform their former team and the league president of this decision by February15. Should the player fail to do this, he will not be allowed to play for any CMBA team other than the club he played for in 2005. Please read the rule here:
