Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord.

Music is a fair and glorious gift of God...Music makes people kinder, gentler, more reasonable..." Such was the opinion of Martin Luther, an opinion we share at The Presbyterian Church of Okemos. Our goal is to provide people of all ages with an opportunity to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, to enjoy the fellowship of others in a choir setting, and to grow in their faith and life.

Handbell Choirs
Three handbell choirs, under the direction of Irene Shutt, perform at worship services and for other occassions. Reading music and rhythms are helpful but not essential to participate, so everyone is invited to participate. It's a great intergenerational activity for grandparents, parents and children, Middle School and older.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings:
Youth 7:00-8:00 pm on Wednesdays

Children's Choir
Age 4 - Middle School,
This choir meets during the11:00 pm worship service following the sermon on Sundays. It gives our children an opportunity to enjoy singing, learn songs that have shaped Christian souls for generations, and "make a joyful noise unto the Lord."

Chancel Choir
This choir performs on Sundays at the 11:00 am worship service from Septembr to June and fora variety of other special occassions, with at least one major work with instrumental accompaniment. Everyone, Sr. High and older are invited to join.
