10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
At Young's Jersey Dairy

Vendors of fibers, fiber-related equipment, fiber-processing supplies and instruction books, or finished fiber or fiber-related products are invited to participate in this event. All persons who wish to sell items, including exhibitors of fiber animals, must reserve vendor space.

GENERAL RULES AND POLICIES FOR THE WOOL GATHERING

1. Prospective vendors are to submit a completed application with a check for the appropriate amount by May 1, 2012. Acceptance letters will be mailed beginning in November, 2011. Once the available places are filled, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and will be informed of this status by mail. Applicants may choose to stay on the waiting list or may cancel. Checks from those on the waiting list will be returned or, if money has been deposited, a refund check will be issued.

2. All individual vendors must have a current and valid Ohio vendor identification number in order to participate. The number is to be submitted as indicated on the application. Applicants for 2012 who do not have an Ohio vendor identification number filed with us will be notified in the acceptance letter and will have until March 1, 2012, to supply one. If no number is received, the application will be cancelled and the money refunded.

3. Vendor fees will be refunded in full if a cancellation is received before June 1, 2012. If a vendor cancels, the space will be filled from the waiting list.

4. Vendors may not sell, assign, or sub-let any space allocated to them, or furnish any space or facilities for any exhibit other than their own without prior written consent from the Midwest Festival of Fibers.

5. Exhibits may be set up on Friday, September 14, from 12 noon until 8 p.m. (or dark) and on Saturday from 7 to 9:30 a.m. No vehicles are to be in the Gathering space (between, in, or in front of the tents) during the hours of the Gathering (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday).

6. No pets are permitted anywhere in the Wool Gathering area.

7. No smoking is permitted in the Wool Gathering area.

8. No camping is permitted on Young's Jersey Dairy property. This includes overnight camping in RVs. Participants are expected to find accommodations off the site.

9. Limited parking for vendors and demonstrators will be available behind the tents. Additional parking is available across the street.
Adopted November 18, 2010

  • Space:
Space may be reserved in large tents provided by the Midwest Festival of Fibers or, for vendors equipped for outside sales, in an area outside the tents. The tents will also house demonstrations/exhibits and some fiber animals, which will be exhibited in inside pens. The tents will have sidewalls to combat bright sun or rain. Because space is limited, both inside and outside, we are limiting individual vendors to 1 or 2 spaces (no more). Space inside the tent, approximately 10' by 10', $80 Space outside the tent, approximately 10' by 10', $60 We will furnish one table and two chairs in each space, if you request them. Extra tables may be ordered for $6 each. Electricity is available at a cost of $5.

  • Accommodations: The Dairy has two restaurants, and a carry-out ice cream and sandwich stand (limited menu) will be located in the Wool Gathering area.

  • Contact:
Please complete the Vendor Contract and return it with a check for the appropriate amount to Midwest Festival of Fibers, P.O. Box 136, Tremont City, OH 45372. Applications will be confirmed as they are received. We post and periodically update a list of vendors on the web site, www.awoolgathering.com. We urge you to apply as soon as possible. We expect all vendors to stay throughout the entire period of the Wool Gathering–that is, to 7 p.m. on Saturday and to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
