presents "A Wool Gathering" Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2008 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday At Young's Jersey Dairy North of Yellow Springs, Ohio on U.S. 68 Vendors of fibers, fiber-related equipment, fiber-processing supplies and instruction books, or finished fiber or fiber-related products are invited to participate in this event. Exhibitors of fiber animals who wish to sell products must reserve vendors space. Space may be reserved in large tents provided by the Midwest Festival of Fibers Committee or, for vendors equipped for outside sales, in an area outside the tents. The tents will also house demonstrations/exhibits and some fiber animals, which will be exhibited in inside pens. Electricity is available. The tents will have sidewalls to combat bright sun or rain.The deadline to apply for space is July 1, 2008, but apply early as the spaces are usually filled before then. Space will be reserved as soon as the application and check are received and acknowledged.
Space outside the tent, approximately 10' by 10', $50 Vendor fees will be refunded in full if cancellation is received before August 1, 2008. The Dairy includes two restaurants and a counter/carry-out ice cream or sandwich area. No formal camping facilities are available on the premises, but camping is permitted at John Bryan State Park, about 3 miles away. Possible accommodations include:
Friday, 12 to 9 p.m, and Saturday from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Our Committee will be available to assist you. We will furnish one table and two chairs in each space, if you request them. Extra tables will be available for $6 each. Electricity is available at a cost of $5. Please complete the Vendor Contract and return it, with a check for the appropriate amount, to Midwest Festival of Fibers, 4400 Gateway Blvd., Suite 104, Springfield, OH 45502. Applications will be confirmed as they are received. We post and periodically update a list of vendors on the web site, www.awoolgathering.com. Because space is limited, we are limiting individual vendors to 1 or 2 spaces (no more). We urge you to apply as soon as possible. We expect all vendors to stay throughout the entire period of the Wool Gathering–that is, to 7 p.m. on Saturday and to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
