These old newspapers are a treasure! They date between 1890 and 1914. Unfortunately they are not available to all who would like to see them. They are also very fragile.

For those researching genealogy, these papers are full of goings on, listing family names and activities. We are currently working on the 1896 and 1897 newspapers.
These newspapers were very inclusive and covered a very large area; Middleville, Caledonia, Wayland, Hastings, Irving, Rutland, Leighton, Thornapple, Allegan, etc. As well as national news.
