Instructions

Use this page to request factoring service. If you are at all unsure what that is or why you were sent to this page, read the Factoring Service Description which explains everything, then come back here.

Fill out the fields, then press submit to mail me a request. The more information you can give, the better, so please try to fill out every field except where the field is clearly not applicable. If you for some reason have trouble, please consider copying the text of your filled out form into an email and mailing it to me at my Novera address, lpieniazek@mercator.com, or print the form and mail it to my snail address. That address is also where US buyers will be sending payment.

Notes

Transaction Information

This section is to describe the transaction. What is being sold? How much is it? How much is the Shipping? How is it being shipped? Did the Buyer request Insurance? Are there customs considerations? Most of this is informational, but helpful in case Larry needs to assist with problem resolution. The key info is how much is the amount of money we are trying to move.
Transaction Total Price in USD. (if in other currency, please specify in remarks, additional fees and delays may apply)
REQUIRED

Include all costs except the factoring charges themselves. (and exchange rates if not in USD, those will be calculated and reported separately) Those are calculated by Larry and will be reported to all parties. If you added them in already because someone told you to, take them back out, you probably got them wrong, I raise my prices all the time.
If shipping is extra, hasn't been determined yet, or you have open issues, don't use this form yet. Get those resolved first, then come back...
Transaction Short Description
Transaction Remarks. Put all information that is significant here (shipping requests, etc. as listed above). I may add other fields later if it makes sense to do so (if I see a lot of common remarks that should be captured).

Buyer Information

This section is to describe the person or organization making the payment (who may or may not be a factoree). I need to know enough to be able to contact this person or organization in case of any issues.
Buyer Name
Buyer Email Address
REQUIRED
Buyer Country of Residence (or payment, if different)
REQUIRED
Is the buyer a factoree of mine already? Yes, the buyer is a factoree
No, but the buyer lives in the US and can pay me directly
No, but the buyer lives in a country where I have a factoree and the buyer can pay that factoree directly
Not Sure and too lazy to check the factoree list even though all I have to do is click on the underlined words earlier in this same sentence.
What does the buyer know? Buyer is aware of this request and has agreed
Buyer is aware, or has used service before, but hasn't yet agreed
Buyer is unaware or requestor does not know
Buyer is opposed to using factoring in this transaction (please discuss in remarks, below, why we should try to do this transaction anyway)
If known, how will the buyer be making payment? Lots of options here, so please read carefully...

Note that if the requestor (the person filling out the form) is not the buyer, this information may not be known. It's OK to guess, state in remarks that you were guessing, although my preference would be that buyer and seller have already worked this out before the form is filled out.
As above, buyer is a factor, so payment is made by book entry
As above, buyer lives in a country where I have a factoree and will pay a factoree directly. (use remarks to suggest factoree if desired, and discuss payment mech to factoree if desired as well)
Buyer is in US, or has a US bank account, and will pay by US dollar check drawn on a US bank
Buyer is in Canada and will use a check denominated in US funds drawn on a Canadian bank. A 1 dollar additional fee will apply (I have to physically go to a bank and deposit the check there, instead of mailing the check to my CU, my preferred method... they send me business reply envelopes to mail deposits in for free and do not charge to clear US checks. However any check or MO drawn on a canadian bank that I deposit there results in a 20 dollar USD charge to clear it!)
Note also that this mechanism can take up to two months for the check to clear. That's a combination of, my slowness in making time to go to the bank, the bank's slowness in actually clearing the check, and the fact that I have to wait until I get the monthly statement back to know whether it cleared or not. So while lots of other people take checks from Canada, I strongly (emphasise strongly) discourage it.
Buyer is in a Non US country and will use a postal money order denominated in US funds. (discuss in remarks, below why buyer is not just paying the seller directly... factoring is adding no value to this transaction!)
Buyer is in the US, already has an X.com checking account, and will transfer funds from his or her X.com account to mine (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). (give buyer X.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is X.com? Read more about it.
Buyer is in the US, will obtain a new X.com account using this referral link, so that I, Larry Pieniazek, get the 10 dollar referral credit. Buyer will fund it with sufficient funds to pay for the transaction via EFT or a credit card, and will transfer funds from his or her X.com account to mine (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). Upon validation of the referral (when I, Larry Pieniazek, have been credited with the 10 dollar referral payment, and not before) buyer will receive a rebate of 5 dollars transferred back to their X.com account. Do NOT underpay by 5, that will delay the transaction. (give buyer X.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is X.com? Read more about it.
Buyer is in the US, already has an PayPal.com credit transfer account, and will transfer funds from his or her paypal.com account to mine (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). (give buyer PayPal.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is PayPal.com? Read more about it.
Buyer is in the US, will obtain a new PayPal.com account using this referral link, so that I, Larry Pieniazek, get the 10 dollar referral credit. Buyer will fund it with sufficient funds to pay for the transaction via a credit card, and will transfer funds from his or her PayPal.com account to mine (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). Upon validation of the referral (when I, Larry Pieniazek, have been credited with the 10 dollar referral payment, and not before) buyer will receive a rebate of 5 dollars transferred back to their PayPal.com account. Do NOT underpay by 5, that will delay the transaction. (give buyer PayPal.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is PayPal.com? Read more about it.
Buyer has a Visa, MC, or American Express credit card that can be accepted by US payment systems. Buyer agrees to pay a 6% surcharge calculated on top of all other charges and will utilise a payment scheme run by a friend of my at the Blackened Distribution site, and described here. Please give second choice in remarks, below, in case of difficulty.

Not available where prohibited by law or Credit Card Acceptance agreements.

Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless all parties to the transaction in case surcharge impositions cause any fees, fines, penalties or other costs or punishments to be imposed on buyer, seller, or Factor (Larry Pieniazek). Note that Master Card has advised me of a 2,000, USD fee imposition for surcharges. If this fee or any other is imposed, BUYER will be liable for it.

USE EXTREME CAUTION when selecting this option. STRONGLY NOT recommended.
Buyer Remarks. Put all information that is significant here. In particular if you chose "other" under country, name the country and discuss how money may be transferred.
Also, many of the payment options, above, direct you to enter additional info such as X or PayPal IDs....

Seller Information

This section is to describe the person or organization who is being paid (who may or may not be a factoree). I need to know enough to be able to contact this entity in case of any issues.
Seller Name
Seller Email Address
REQUIRED
Seller Snailmail address (this is required only if the seller is not already a factoree of mine and either myself, or one of my factorees needs to send a payment to this person or organization)
Seller Country of Residence (or payment receipt location, if different)
REQUIRED
Is the seller a factoree of mine already?
(if you can't select one of these options, this transaction is not a good choice for factoring)
Yes, Seller is a factoree
No, but Seller is a person who lives in the US or Canada and I can pay seller directly
No, but Seller is a person who lives in a country I have a factoree for
Not Sure and too lazy to check the factoree list even though all I have to do is click on the underlined words earlier in this same sentence.
What does the seller know? Seller is aware of this request and has agreed
Seller is aware, or has factored before, but hasn't yet agreed
Seller is unaware or requestor does not know
Seller is opposed to using factoring in this transaction (please discuss in remarks, below, why we should try to do this transaction anyway)
How will the seller get paid? (if you cannot select one of these options, this is not a good transaction to try to factor) Lots of options here, so please read carefully...

Note that if the requestor (the person filling out the form) is not the seller, this information may not be known. It's OK to guess, state in remarks that you were guessing, although my preference would be that buyer and seller have already worked this out before the form is filled out.
Seller is a factoree so can be paid via a book entry (preferred)
Seller is a person or company, and can be paid via check drawn on a US bank made out by me on your behalf (possibly with a clearance delay) (Note, eBay, for example, can't be paid by me on your behalf, as they will not accept 3rd party checks)
Seller is a company, and can be paid via Visa, Mastercard, or American Express by me (Note, eBay, for example, can't be paid by me on your behalf, as they will not accept 3rd party CC payments)
Seller can be paid by a factoree via a check drawn in funds of the factoree's country
Seller (location is irrelevant) wishes to be paid with a US postal money order denominated in US funds. (discuss in remarks, below why buyer is not just paying the seller directly... factoring is adding no value to this transaction!)
There is a 5 dollar ADDITIONAL CHARGE imposed for selecting this option. Money orders are a pain and are what I wish to avoid.
Seller is in the US, already has an X.com checking account, and I can transfer funds to his or her X.com account from mine (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). (give seller X.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is X.com? Read more about it.
Seller is in the US, will obtain a new X.com account using this referral link, so that I, Larry Pieniazek, get the 10 dollar referral credit. I will transfer funds to his or her X.com account from mine (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). Upon validation of the referral (when I, Larry Pieniazek, have been credited with the 10 dollar referral payment, and not before) seller will receive a rebate of 5 dollars transferred back to their X.com account. Do NOT ask to be over paid by 5, that will delay the transaction. (give seller X.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is X.com? Read more about it.
PayPal.com credit transfer account, and wants me to transfer funds from my PayPal.com account to his or her PayPal.com account. (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). (give Seller PayPal.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is PayPal.com? Read more about it.
Seller is in the US, will obtain a new PayPal.com account using this referral link, so that I, Larry Pieniazek, get the 10 dollar referral credit. On notification, I will transfer funds from my PayPal.com account to his or her PayPal.com account. (my account ID is lar@voyager.net). Upon validation of the referral (when I, Larry Pieniazek, have been credited with the 10 dollar referral payment, and not before) seller will receive a rebate of 5 dollars transferred back to their PayPal.com account. Do NOT ask to be overpaid by 5, that will delay the transaction. (give seller PayPal.com account identification in remarks, below)... What is PayPal.com? Read more about it.
Seller Remarks. Put all information that is significant here. In particular if you chose "other" under country, name the country and discuss how money may be transferred. If you need someone to pay via bank transfer (this is common in Germany, for example) put that information here if you know it. If seller is to be paid via X or PayPal, put the seller's X or PayPal ID here.

Requestor Information

This section is to describe you, the person or organization making the request. Who are you, and what is your role in this? Are you a factoree? I need to know enough to be able to contact you in case of any issues.
Who are you and what is your role? I need to know this in part to avoid duplicate transactions I also want to know the demographics of requests. I am the Buyer
I am the Seller
I am a current factoree that the Buyer will be paying
I am a current factoree that will be paying the Seller
None of the above. I am just an interested party. (please discuss in remarks, below, why we should try to do this transaction anyway, and WHAT your interest is.)
Your Name
REQUIRED
Your Email Address
REQUIRED
Requestor Remarks. Put all information that is significant here. In particular if you chose "None of the above" under "who are you", please discuss.

Submission

Please check your entries for detail, accuracy, and completeness. The more I know on the first go round, the less email will need to be generated to complete the transaction. That means cost savings to you and everyone else, as I will not continue to do this if it costs me too much time. (emails above a small number may result in a 25 cent per email surcharge to whoever I can stick with the fee, and that's whim driven, so don't push it...)

Please press the "Submit request" button only ONE time. Please be patient after pressing the "submit" button. A confirmation screen will come up to verify your request has been sent. If you neglected to fill out required fields, it will be clear that no request will have been sent and you will need to use your browser's back button to go back and fill them out. There is no need to clear the form and start completely over. The field names have been chosen to make it obvious what you are missing, I think... feedback welcomed.

When I receive a form in my email, I quickly scan it to see who the seller is and who the buyer is. I forward the form to those two addresses, plus anyone else that may need to know if I can tell that. Sometimes I can't, and that would be requester's fault, not mine. I ask questions, if any, and give what the added fees will be and who will pay them. Printing that form out to go with the sent check is a good idea. If I have left stuff out from this form, or from what is autogenerated when it is mailed to me, I welcome feedback.

Occasionally there may be a problem and your form may not be sent. This never actually has happened, although it could though. Feel free to drop me a note directly after waiting several days ( including a weekend, I let these pile up till the weekend (or some other time) if I am busy, and I am ALWAYS busy) if you think I did not get your request. Include as much detail as possible.

I DO, however, try to process these at least once a week or so. Every day is just not practical, so don't expect it. So your delay is random, may be as much as 10 days, and there is no predictability of the length.

No acknowledgement will be sent. The form just sits in my mailbox till I get around to processing it.
