A stack of boxes (all full except for the backhoe, which is visible on top of the heap). Next to the backhoe is the six-legged pneumatic walker I built a few months ago; I haven't needed the parts yet, and so I haven't disassembled it. The Star Destroyer set is over 3000 pieces by itself - the largest set Lego ever produced. This room was the daughter's bedroom for the previous owners - I assure you, purple walls are not my thing. A friend had slept in the guest bed the night before and I hadn't had time to make it yet.
The first shot attempts to encompass most of my collection. The stack of boxes in the foreground is joined by the three columns of plastic tackleboxes in the closet, along with a plastic drawer unit with larger pieces (tires, etc). There are several additional sets, not yet incorporated into the main collection, on top of the drawers. A Sopwith Camel (made famous by Snoopy) is atop everything.

The second shot is a closer view of the storage containers. For reference, each stack of plastic boxes is about three feet tall and weighs somewhere around 30-40 pounds.

Another set. I haven't built this one yet but will get to it this winter.
A small part of my collection, the Rebel Snowspeeder from Empire Strikes Back was just completed on Saturday afternoon. It's huge - about 20 inches long. It contains about 1400 pieces and took me maybe eight hours to build. An incredibly cool model.
