Subject: Dog fight
Newspaper article reported arrest of two men ( Mott Ave north Pierson Flint) dog fight with 30+ people. Dozens injured pitbulls, some in trunk of cars. Bloody pen and treadmill PLUS a contraption that requires the dog to hold on to a rope with his teeth (strengthen his jaws) and if it lets go, it will fall a great height. Made me sick. The owner will be arraigned in my courthouse Monday, Jan. 8. Would any animal lovers like to go to sit in the courtroom (wearing our shirts) to protest the scumbag? Maybe even other animal group reps??????

Men to stand trial on dog-fighting charges
Fresh blood soaked the carpet and stained the plywood walls of a makeshift dog-fighting ring found inside a Flint garage.
Men Arrested in Connection with Dog Fighting in Flint
Nigel L. Swain and Rodney L. Knapp were arrested for their participation in a dog fight in Flint . Swain is charged with attending a dog fight. Knapp is charged with dog fighting and possessing animal fighting equipment.
Leyton has a history of not prosecuting animal abuse cases. Please ask the county prosecutor to push for the maximum 4 year sentence for Swain and 8 year sentence for Knapp. Also request that they not be allowed to come into contact with animals for the rest of their lives.
