SAVE THE DATE TO SAVE THE DOVES, date change for Dove Gala -- we're going bigger due to overwhelming response.
After much thought, and in the best interest of our goals for the second phase of the campaign to protect mourning doves, the Committee to Restore the Dove Shooting Ban has decided to move the Dove Gala date at the Detroit Zoo from Saturday, May 13th to Friday, September 15th -- we reserved a larger building http://www.detroitzoo.org/Attractions/Wildlife_Gallery/Wildlife_Gallery/ The event is shaping up to be a very exciting evening, with a fine art auction and special guest speakers, so please mark your calendars! We are sorry for any inconvenience the change in date might have caused.
For May 13th, we are now planning to have an on-line auction where dove protection supporters and others from all over the U.S. will be able to bid on array of fabulous merchandise -- including celebrity-donated items -- via our website and eBay to help support our efforts. Please stay tuned for details!
In-Kind Donations for Art Auctions -- both On-line Auction (May) and
Detroit Zoo Fine Art Auction Gala (Sept).
The Committee to
Restore the Dove Shooting Ban seeks high quality donated items and
services for the two auctions: 1) a large on-line auction which will
include a limitless variety of highly prized and collectible items and
services (running May 3rd to May 13th) and 2) the Detroit Zoo Fine Art
Auction Gala on Friday, September 15th.
Please help us obtain these items: original works of art of all kinds,
artist proofs, limited edition prints, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, goods,
services, certificates, signed celebrity pieces, etc. If you have any
