Cases of abused and neglected pets in Jackson County may soon be stopped even faster. The non-profit group "Jackson County Volunteers Against Pound Seizure" will present Jackson County with a $500 gift card at the county commission meeting.

The gift card is to buy the county's 3 animal control officers digital cameras so they can handle more cases faster. The "Volunteers Against Pound Seizure" group aims at educating the county about pet safety and welfare.
