Each year in the United States, billions of animals spend their lives in overcrowded factory farms. Many of these animals suffer from intensive confinement where they can barely move for months on end. The Humane Society of the United States has developed an aggressive campaign to stop this massive cruelty -- and we need your help.

We're looking for compassionate people to host house parties on February 26 to help raise much-needed resources for our Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF), the lobbying arm of The Humane Society of the United States. The HSLF works exclusively to pass humane laws, and we have a bold agenda to stop the needless suffering inflicted on countless animals by factory farming.

Simply click here to sign up to host a party on February 26.

In order to make this a truly national, grassroots effort, our goal is to support 200 house parties representing all 50 states. Right now, more than 127 hosts have signed up -- will you help us get to 200? All you need are a few friends, a speakerphone, and a dedication to helping animals. For more details and to sign up today, just click here.

We need your help to support this important work for farm animals. All party hosts will be able to dial in to a nationwide conference call with me and other special guests at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on February 26. You'll also receive a DVD presentation about our legislative work, and a host party box stuffed with materials for your guests, such as fact sheets, brochures, recipes, and special goodies from Soy Delicious (my favorite frozen treat).

Thank you for all you do on behalf of animals, and I hope you'll consider hosting a party in your community to help farm animals this February.

Sincerely,

Mike Markarian
President
Humane Society Legislative Fund
