Kalamazoo, Michigan resident Marie watched as the life slowly drained from her cat and beloved companion, BB.  On October 23, 2005, Donald Eugene Morris, a hunter, shot the cat with an arrow when the cat wondered onto her neighbor’s property.  Morris admitted to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's officer that he did intentionally shoot the cat, saying that he thought it was feral and it was going after rabbits.  Marie discovered her cat as the cat made his way home, struggled to stay erect, and had saliva coming out of his mouth.

 This crime is a misdemeanor under 750.50 of the Michigan Penal Code.  The case number is #2005009346.  Please tell the prosecutor to seek the maximum sentencing for this crime:
