Join Us on Fur-Free Friday to Protest the
Cruel Fur Industry
Dear
Scott,
Please come out on
Fur-Free Friday, November 25, at a demonstration denouncing the
cruelties of the fur trade. Fur-Free Friday is an annual day of
action for animal advocates nationwide, and as one of the busiest
shopping days of the year, it is an ideal time to spread
compassion and educate shoppers about fur, fur trim, and fur-free
products.
Date:
November 25, 2005
Time:
12:30 to 2 p.m.
Location:
Burtrum Furs, 5568
Beckley Road, Battle Creek, MI
Sponsor:
All Species Kinship (ASK)
Signs
and leaflets will be provided—all we need is you.
Animals suffer terribly for any product made with real fur, no
matter how small the item. Jacket hoods trimmed with real fur or
handbags lined with real fur can only be made at the expense of
animals like rabbits, foxes, and mink. This year, events all over
the country will help holiday shoppers recognize cleverly
disguised fur, and encourage them to purchase only fur-free
garments. Fur-free shopping is one easy and powerful way to save
millions of animals from common fates such as life in a cage,
electrocution, clubbing, and cruel trapping.
If you have friends who might
want to attend, please invite them to come along. Have a
compassionate and successful Fur-Free Friday!
