I know most everyone runs into this whether we do rescue or not and I know there are a zillion kittens out there now.  I don't do rescue because I can't handle it emotionally--we are dog people and I know little about cats.
I am hoping someone at the vets office or a few cat people friends I called might take this little guy but so far no luck.

My husband and I were driving home from errands today and in the road (country area) were two orange kittens.  One was dead from being hit by a car, the other a little further up had blood on his head and was in the middle of the road.  I scooped him up and got a blanket on him to prevent shock and we rushed him to the vet.  Vet says he is about 8 weeks old and very lucky.  Lacerations to top of head and on his back, but otherwise seems to be ok.  Vet says he may have some slight facial distortion later on but he looks fine to now.  They will hold him for 24 hours.  He was so little and very cute.  I will pay to have him neutered if anyone would like him or knows of someone looking for a kitten.

Tomorrow I will call my vet (who was not the one in today) and see if he may take him and I have a few other possible people to call but you all know how this goes--not enough homes.

thanks,
