PERMISSION TO CROSS POST FAR AND WIDE--THIS PARAGRAPH
I had been passing out a magazine put out by American Anti-Vivisection Society called "Paws for Thought--the Use of Dogs in Research."  I never even saw that on P. 13  there is data that shows that in 2001 76,578 dogs were used in research.  33,830 of those dogs were used in experiments where pain and distress was involved.  They got pain relief.  But 1,675 dogs were used in experiments where pain and distress was involved  AND THEY GOT NO PAIN RELIEF AT ALL!!  If you think you are too busy to get involved in changing this, ask yourself if your own dog were accidentally sold to research which has happened before, would you be ok that no pain meds were used?    How barbaric--dogs were with us at the World Trade Center, there is a reason they are called Man's Best Friend!  Get these statistics posted far and wide--support the work of the American Anti-vivisection Society and the Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine (has a membership of 5,000 doctors) as well as Last Chance for Animals (working on B dealers) please!!  As long as pound seizure is allowed, all our pets are at risk--stopping pound seizure has many other positive benefits to a community including a possible 56% reduction in dog bites!!  Check out the Canadian study on the first page of our website:  http://www.members.aol.com/Justice4them
