I went over. 4 nice pit puppies, I thought they wanted me to take. They could eat on their own at 4 wks. However, by time I got there a crowd had gathered and each person said they "adopted" each puppy. Only mama dog they wanted rid of. She has two blue-ish, hard, back milk ducts. Man said 3 puppies ate off it and died immediately. They were in a sack on porch. Mama has been eating $3 bag food and I gave him some better stuff which both dogs choked down. I gave them Strongit, probably wormy, all I had.
He also has a unneutered male, which I said ARK would neuter. They want to keep, as well as one of the puppies (very pretty).
I told him I would take mama tomorrow to Mayfair and if is she was seriously ill. (milk poisoning?) they would put her down. She is very friendly, skinny white/black pit, raised with children but can climb fence. He said he would shoot her cause she is suffering. I don't think she is suffering but will ask ARK to evaluate and if healthy, take to HS (if they will take her with all that milk) If they wont take her, I'll have put down. We dent have anywhere for her. She's not an attractive dog and he will shoot her if left. He brought her in house 3 times a day to feed the puppies ????????? till the 3 suddenly died. Said "she's not worth messing with".
