Outcome

Despite the collective efforts of feral cat activists, the WI Conservation Congress approved Question 62. Less than .02 percent of all Wisconsin residents—the people who would have to live with legalized, indiscriminate killing of outdoor cats— attended the meetings. It is our belief that most people simply could not imagine such an inhumane proposal being taken seriously.

Although Question 62 was approved, hunting cats is not legal in Wisconsin. Because the issue still has to survive several other votes, we still have time to protect the cats!

Alley Cat Allies Brings Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) to Wisconsin!

Following a vote to declassify feral cats as a protected species in Wisconsin's Conservation Congress, Alley Cat Allies was contacted by individuals and agencies throughout the state wanting to help feral cats.

In an effort to bring these supporters together, as well as give them the most up-to-date information about TNR and humane feral cat care, Alley Cat Allies is hitting the road - we're holding a feral cat forum and we'll be in Madison, Wisconsin on June 25!
