On Saturday March 12, Last Chance Rescue helped in the rescue of a little
pit bull, a male about 8 months old. He was taken from a house where he was
chained to the fence. The choke chain he wore was embedded in his neck and
we had to rush him to the vet to have it removed. He was bony and starving
and also he cannot stand up completely on his back legs because the vet said
he has probably been kept in a very small cage his whole life. In spite of
this, his tail was wagging and he greatly appreciated the can of dog food we
gave to him.
He needs to go to a nice quiet foster home to recuperate when he comes from
the vet next Tuesday or Wednesday. Please consider fostering or adopting
him. He is extremely friendly and though we did not have him around the
other animals directly, he was in a cage next to a couple of them and
continued to wag his tail. This is a chance to really help out an animal
that is in dire need.
