As you are probably aware, VIM's big day is fast approaching (3/20). The
Great American Meatout is our signature event. It's our moment in the sun
to educate the public about the benefits of a plant-based diet. But we need
your help. Please consider aiding the cause by doing one or more of
the following:
Attend the event and bring a non-veg friend, family member or coworker.
Hey, we can use the money (putting on this event is not cheap!), plus
this is what it's all about -- sharing our message with folks who might
not otherwise hear it.
Sign up to volunteer at the event. We need people to help out in all
kinds of ways; clearing and washing tables (yes, very glamorous),
rewinding/starting the video tapes, collecting exit surveys, directing
traffic in the parking lot, putting up signs before the event, and more!
If you or you and some friends are interested, please contact our
Volunteer Coordinator right away (
volunteer@veggiesinmotion.org). The
more folks we know about up front the better we can plan and the smoother
the event will go. [Please note, there is a Volunteer
Orientation scheduled for Saturday, 3/12 at 9:30 AM.]
Bring 50 copies of your favorite vegan recipe. It does not have to be
original, just give credit if it's not. Simple (non-overwhelming)
recipes preferred. Many people are interested in vegetarian dishes, they
just don't know how to make them. Let's help them out!
Veggies In Motion is a great organization because of its intelligent and
compassionate members. Please help VIM shine again by lending your
support to this great event.
Yours in health, compassion and peace,
Jim
