Hi all, if any of you are considering sending
donations to help the animal victims, may I suggest
Noah's Wish? Founder Terri Crisp was on
Anderson Cooper on CNN last night. She was a great representative for the
homeless and injured animals. I emailed her and close to 80% of donations go
directly to the animals. They have 3 paid people and all the rest are
volunteers. The sole purpose of this group is disaster relief for animals. She
did tell me most of their volunteers are either vegetarian or vegan. You can go
to their site and check them out. (http://www.noahswish.org/

Hi Cody:
Thank you for you inquiry. As indicated on our web site, 75% of all
donations go to direct services for the animals. In actuality it is probably
closer to 80% though.
When asking about veganism I assume you are referring to the practice of
Noah's Wish. Our organization focuses exclusively on disaster relief work.
We do not get involved in any other animal welfare issues. This is because we
work with so many different people and organizations during disasters, some of
which have had negative experiences with animal welfare/rights organizations.
In order to ensure that we can help all animals during disasters we must
remain neutral.
Personally, many of us are vegetarians and vegans. We actually see some of
our volunteers give up meat and all meat products after they have worked so
hard to rescue their first cow, pig, or chicken a disaster. All of a sudden
they see the faces up close and make the connection.
If you have any more questions please let me know.
Humanely,
Terri Crisp - Noah's Wish Director
