NOTICE RE: WEBSITE:
www.jethrosplace.com went down at
about noon yesterday. The webserver lost the site and our email accounts. We
expect to have jethrosplace.com running later this week. We're switching over
to
www.jethrosplace.org which is now up
and running. Email is available through that webserver, but the extension is
now .org
CALENDAR CONTEST
Because of the problems with our email and
website, we will extend the entry deadlines for 2 weeks. This should give time
for jethrosplace.com to get up and running and for everyone to find us again.
The new entry deadline is October 19th at 11:59 pm. The voting will begin on
October 21 at 8 am. Don't forget to enter your pet in our calendar contest!

THANKSGIVING RAFFLE
We're baking up a storm for our Thanksgiving

ADOPT A SENIOR PET
Sadly there are lots of new seniors on our
site. Shelter seniors needing rescues or homes ASAP include Libby, a
wonderful 11 year old yellow lab at Arenac and Reenie a senior yellow lab mix
at Ingham County Animal Control. Both Libby and Reenie are Lisa Lisa DRQ
doggies of the week.

THANK YOU SCHOOLCRAFT
ELEMENTARY
Mrs. Riccardi's 5th grade class held fundraisers
and raised enough money to bail 3 big dogs out of a shelter that gasses. The
dogs are now safely in a purebred rescue. The class is going to write their
petfinder.com pet notes and follow the adoption process. We also are starting
a new project with these great kids that hopefully will inspire teachers and
students throughout Michigan.
NEW LEGISLATION:
Finally, new legislation has been introduced in
the Michigan house. Students would be allowed to opt out of dissection
projects. Schools in Michigan use live frogs, dead cats, fetal pigs and many
other animals in outdated, inhumane dissection projects. For more information
and to write your legislators visit

Have a wonderful week.
