Hello everyone!

Hasn't the weather been glorious?  Help us celebrate the season at our Fall Fundraiser.  Spend an afternoon in the country followed by an evening under the stars.  Enjoy vegan food while sitting by the fire.  Maybe the mooing cows, baaing sheep, and braying donkeys will provide the music!

Please come and welcome our newest arrivals:

Henry was the Grand Champion Farm Pig at the Wayne Country Fair.  His fate was to be the 1st prize in a raffle and then the main course at a Pig Roast!   Lucky for Henry that a compassionate little girl started a Save the Pig campaign and spent her birthday money to buy tickets.  She also begged her friends and relatives to buy tickets too.  With 339 entries, she won Henry's life and he came to Sasha Farm!

Troy the sheep is named for the Troy Police Department.  He's a handsome fellow with big brown eyes.  You can learn more about his capture at: http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/3676831/detail.html

Patrick Swayze, another sheep, came to Sasha Farm after a member of 4-H gave him to us rather than send him to slaughter.  His guardian wrote me a beautiful letter about Patrick that I will share with you in another mailing.

Details for the Fall Festival are in the attached poster and please share this message with your friends.

Thank you,
