HELP RESTORE THE DOVE SHOOTING BAN - CALL TO ACTION!

Michigan citizens come together to restore the dove shooting ban on Michigan's official Bird of Peace ---- BALLOT COMMITTEE FORMED!

Dozens of groups are now working together to organize thousands of concerned citizens throughout the state to successfully collect the necessary number of signatures to qualify a referendum for the 2006 Ballot...there is much to do and the doves need you!

With your participation and support, the citizens of Michigan can restore the shooting ban on this beloved backyard songbird.

See Ballot Committee press attached as pdf.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

1) Please send us your updated contact info here http://savethedoves.com/contact.html  -- not everyone on our email alert list is on the mailing list AND WE NEED YOU THERE! Join the ballot committee here contact@stopshootingdoves.org

2) Please try to attend the Natural Resources Committee meeting on August 12th, public comment will begin at 4:30pm: Lansing Center, 333 E Michigan Ave, Room 201, Lansing. We don't expect the NRC to listen to the people of Michigan any more than they did in the 1980's when they illegally established a dove shooting season, but the press will be there and they need to see a good showing of concerned citizens. Please let us know if you can attend.
