Question:
I first must let you know that I am a single mother with two children.
I recently became unemployed and am looking for work. The home (trailer) we
live in is in extremely bad condition and it has become necessary for
me to find a different place to live. therefore I cannot take "Special " with
me.
That is his name. I cannot afford to take care of him and the places I
can afford to live at don, t allow dogs. Having sad that, let me tell you
about "Special".
He was born on May 12, 2004. He was the last of a litter of seven in which one
was born dead and the runt died six days later. The mother, a sheltie
mix. The father, a small black dog. A little bigger than a sheltie.
" Special ". He was born without a portion of his skull on top of his head.
The gap is not widening so I think it might be fairly small when he's
done growing. The vet called it Hydrosopholic. I was also told it was Anti
sopholic as hydro has to do with water on the brain. He seems as though
he's blind or at the least VERY hard of seeing. He has poor balance a
Small problem with muscle control. Other than that he is a strong puppy.
Physically strong and strong willed. He has been very loved and protected
therefore he is a very happy puppy. He eats very well and I think that with
the right family he could live a long happy life.
He is so sweet and I hate to get rid of him but I have no choice. I have
called animal rescues, Humane societies. I have been searching on the
Internet and one place responded and referred me to you. If you can't help my
only other alternative is to take him to animal control where they'll surely
kill him. Maybe someone who lives alone without children.! He loves cats
also.
I live in Dutch Village trailer park in Mt. Morris, Michigan. And I need to
be moved by the time school starts. He is playing with my feet right now.
He is very playful. I really love him. There is no reason he should die. If
I could keep him, I would.
Please help in any way you can.
Thank You!
Sincerely;
Theresa Crim
