Hi Scott,
I am helping an elderly man in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who
is moving to an assisted living complex. He can only bring one small animal
with him to the complex. He has two dogs and two cats, he is bringing his
small dog with him, and believes he has a rescue taking his other dog. So he
is in desperate need of placing two cats ASAP and also a few fish that he
has.
"Frodo" whom I have a picture of on file, is a friendly
male (neutered) yellow cat. Five years old, not declawed. Friendly with
dogs, cats and children. At this time Frodo is an inside/outdoor cat.
"Nissa" is a female semi- long haired, (spayed) and front
declawed. She is "timid and aloof and likes to be left alone". The elderly
man took this cat in just three months ago after a family member asked him
too. He believes Nissa is afraid/shy of humans due to her recent transition,
because she was not like that with the previous family she lived with. When
he approaches her she will hiss but if left alone is fine. Not sure of age,
but approximately 2-3 years old. Has shown no aggressiveness with the cat
and dogs she now lives with. Children not known.
I was told both cats are up to date on vaccinations but I
am not positive of this since I have not seen their medical records.
He also has four or five goldfish needing homes, and a
few tropical fish, if anyone has room in their aquarium for more.
