Pembroke Castle

This is one of the more well known castles. A popular tourist attraction, Pembroke Castle now houses a historical museum and gift shop.

A view of the main tower, ruined living area and inner courtyard of the castle. During the summer a number of public events and fairs are held in the courtyard.

Located inside the walls of the castle, 'hidden' passageways like this one were once an important part it's defenses. Low ceilings and narrow doorways reflect the smaller stature of most people in those days.

Just a few of the many great views that can be seen from the castle towers. This castle was one of Bill's favorite places during the trip.
