Laugharne Castle

Laugharn Castle. Dan, Karen and Bill take Baboo the pem and Cowboy down the walkway which leads around the castle and past the former home of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Unfortunately the castle was closed for tours that day, so we just enjoyed a pleasant walk.

A view from one of Dylan Thomas' favorite places to compose his poetry. One of his most favorite works is thought to have been composed here.

Dylan Thomas' private study, on the waterfront in the shadow of Laugharn Castle, is where many of his famous works were completed (hmm- looks familiar). His home, a short walk from the study, is still owned and inhabited by his family.
