Michigan’s State social studies standards

 

Michigan Social Studies.  The Michigan Department of Education’s page offers these two links of special note:

 

·          The CLiMB Project. Print out documents that clarify each benchmark in the Michigan Curriculum Framework with examples of instruction and assessment.

 

·          Michigan Curriculum Framework. The state content standards for K-12 education including the economics standards, which are part of Social Studies.  (.pdf  format)

 

Curriculum 2000 at Ingham ISD. Lesson plans developed by educators for educators that address Michigan's Curriculum Standards and Benchmarks.

 

Economics for Tomorrow.  Choose the Michigan Standards tab for a list of the economic benchmarks for later elementary and middle school students. Click on a benchmark to get a list of relevant on-line and off-line resources. The Mini Quests tab offers more ready-to-use ideas for using the Internet to enhance economics learning. Choose the Glossary tab for a dictionary of economic terms and note the Visit Student Site especially for students.
