Danny Glover
Glover made his film debut in "Escape From Alcatraz", and has been using the skills he learned to escape from common sense ever since. The actor was recently in Cuba, which has become "Club Med" for Hollywood libs who are looking for anyone, anywhere, who will listen to them. Why Cuba? Nice weather, good cigars, lots of classic cars, and libraries chock full of copies of "das Kapital." Also, because North Korea is so far away, the weather sucks, and overly Americanized Marxists have yet to develop a taste for dog. A few years ago Glover made headlines for claiming that New York City cab drivers are racist, and drive right by him. A story he later told in the film "3 A.M.", in which Glover faces the ultimate dilemma as a cab driver who refuses to pick himself up.
Quote: "I'm against a war whose victims will be Iraqi women and children."
Anti quote: We're against Glovers inaction, whose victims will be American women and children.
Pluses: Good actor. Not a big ego, hence the "cabs over limos" approach, even though it usually means he ends up walking.
Minuses: One more "Lethal Weapon" movie and I'm going to start thinking he's only in this for the money. By being born in San Francisco, or "Havana West" as it is now known, Glover was doomed from the start. Poor guy never had a chance.
Rating: Subversive, but not too offensively, and usually in Cuba. "S" = medium
Fun fact: Has signature Fidel Castro bobblehead on the back dashboard of his car.
