Cliff's Buggy Page

Welcome to Cliff's buggy page. My 1997 Phazar Chassis buggy was started Christmas week 1995, with a pile of tubing and after many hours of hard work , something that looked like a buggy was completed. Much of 1996 was spent making suspension, body parts and panels including a car show where one half of the buggy was shown with all the parts completed, the other half was left so that people could see what goes into building a off-road buggy. It has long travel suspension all the way around. I use a Chevrolet 3.1 liter V-6 for my power source and a 4.56 bus transmission

My previous webb page showed some of our photo's from our 1997 western vacation. This page has some of our photo's from our vacations this year.

Both of these photos are from the area near Slade Kentucky

This was taken on the Burma Trail during part of our Upper Peninsula vacation the first part of August

After many days of enjoyable riding, chasing waterfalls, watching off road races at Bark river and a short but difficult trip to Drummond Island we had to end our vacation and return back across the Mighty Mac.
We went West to Colorado and Utah in 2001, look for up and coming photo’s of the 2001 trip to the Rocky Mountains and the high desert of Utah.  Good riding everyone.

Above are pictures of my current project. It is a 1973 VW Thing that I intend to change the color to white, install a 2”
Lift between the body and pan. The transmission will be changed to a Bus 4.86 gear ratio and be powered by a General Motors 3100 V6. Sometime in the future the suspension members will be changed also.
