UPDATE ON TWO GREAT DOGS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR OWNER AND NEED A NEW HOME
- TOGETHER!
Billy and Trixie recently lost their best buddy to cancer. They and the man's
widow (who live in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo area) have been coping the best
they can ... but now the wife has been diagnosed with a terminal disease and
is trying desperately to find a home for her husband's two beloved dogs. We
want to try and keep them together as they will soon have only each other.
Billy is a 6 year old Australian cattle dog mix. He's a 75-pound, gentle,
loyal , loving dog. Billy is very smart, and loves his "sister", Trixie. He
hasn't had a lot of exposure to other dogs or cats, but he seems to love the
grandchildren when they come to visit.
Trixie, Billy's pal, is a 6 year old short haired terrier mix. She is a
feisty 25-pound little dog who loves to chase squirrels and then spend hours
"guarding" them in a tree. She is a cuddler, loves attention and petting, and
has a talent for covering herself in a blanket or towel before going to
sleep. She too has spent most of her life with her brother Billy, so we're
not sure how she feels about other dogs or cats. She seems to do well with
children when they come to visit.
These two buddies deserve a chance to continue their lives in a loving home,
and need to stay together. Pictures of both of them and more information is
