In November of 1998, my good friend Jay DuBois started teaching me the basics
of playing bass guitar. A few months later we played live at the local
American Legion. We decided we needed a good sound system so using the
internet I purchased all that we needed and since then we have played numerous
clubs and private parties. So far we have played as far south as Rochester,
Indiana and as far north as Cheboygan, Michigan.
Jay chose the name, "A Tad Different", because we are always asked what style
of music we play and it's difficult to describe. We play a number of styles
from folk to country to Celtic and we even do a song Jay wrote called "Redneck
Rap". Most of the music we play, however, is original music written by Jay or
by our musician friends. We also play a number of tunes by John Prine,
Loudon Wainwright III, Mike Cross, and other singer/songwriters.

We have had larger audiences, but can't remember a better view!
