What does the word "thisisit"
in your web address mean? |
It represents ignorance of web
technology! Before I published my first web page I made MANY
practice web pages in my web page program (FrontPage.) When I was ready to make the
real web site, prompted by the program to give it a name (everything in your computer must
have a name), I called it "this is it." I
didn't know that what I called it in my computer would end up in my web address. |

Do the paintings look the same as on the web  page? |
No...they look much better! What you see
on the web site is a composite of technologies acting on my paintings.
I paint the painting in glorious color; I photograph
the painting; the film is developed at the local
Fotomart; the photo is scanned into my photo touch up program
(PhotoShop) where the color, brightness, contrast, etc is adjusted;
this image is transferred to the web program where it is re-sized
and re-sampled; the web page is uploaded into
the files of the ISP; and, finally, the image is downloaded by
your computer onto your bargain monitor. I think it's amazing that anyone would even
recognize the image! |
